Best Aromatic Butter with Coriander Chilli and Garlic

Adding these fresh herbs to your butter ramps up the flavour and turns the ordinary into extraordinary. Lashings of this aromatic butter add an extra deliciousness to roast or baked veges. It’s a regular in our household. We make it in bucket loads and keep it in the freezer ready to serve at any time.

With a few fresh ingredients you have a butter that adds a touch of decadence to any meal

  • Butter
  • Coriander
  • Chilli
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Salt to taste

Cheat Sheet notes

  • You can use salted or unsalted butter for this recipe. If using unsalted butter like I am in this recipe, don’t forget to balance with salt.
  • I’m using Burra della Latteria a new unsalted butter I’ve discovered. It’s light, yet creamy and is a perfect complement to this fragrant butter. Just remember to add a little salt to really bring out your flavours a bit more.

This aromatic butter with Coriander, Chilli & Ginger adds a real touch of decadence to any meal. It's a regular in our household. We make it in bucket loads and keep it in the freezer ready to serve at any time. Add to roasted veges for a flavour bomb it, or simply flash fry your favourite vege's to turn the ordinary into extraordinary.

Ingredients

  • 250g Good quality butter
  • 1 Bunch Coriander
  • 50g Fresh Ginger
  • 4 Red Chillis
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

Preparation

Take the butter out of the fridge about 1 hour in advance to soften

Chop the coriander finely, including the stems

Peel and chop the ginger finely

Chop the Chilli finely

Chop the garlic finely

Method

Add the butter to a medium sized round bowl

Add all chopped ingredients

Mix with a fork until all ingredients are well distributed throughout the butter

Wrap in cling fill and keep in the freezer until needed.

Notes

This butter keeps very well in the freezer and is a wonderful secret ingredient to have on standby in your arsenal when entertaining. (We like a touch of heat and use Birds Eye Chillis). I'm loving this unsalted Burro della Latteria. It has a light creamy flavour that complements the fresh herbs. If you're using unsalted butter as I am in this recipe, don't forget to add salt.
