Granny Canada’s Crunchy Pickled Veges

Perfect Pickle Preparation

This mezza family staple is a traditional Lebanese any time snack handed down by Granny Canada. Not only are these pickled veges tangy, fresh and crunchy, but they’re deliciously calorie free too. They’re so very easy to prepare and a great pre-dinner snack that does not spoil your appetite for what’s still to come. And vegetarian to boot.

Perfect Pickle Preparation
  • Make sure your glass jars seal tightly
  • Sterilise jars beforehand by filling them with boiling water and then let them stand for 2 minutes prior to use
  • Turnips / Swedes tend to look unappealing when pickled so we add a few wedges of beetroot with the swedes to give a lovely pink hue
