This is a much loved family favourite. We love the zingy taste of this crunchy summery cabbage coleslaw that uses both white and red cabbage. It’s a healthy salad that’s really quick and easy to make. With only a few simple ingredients you have a salad that’ll add extra sunniness to your lunch or BBQ. It’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

This ingredient requires only 4 ingredients:

  • Shredded Red Cabbage
  • Shredded Chite Cabbage
  • Red Onion sliced into fine rings
  • Grated Carrots

Dressing

A. yummy tangy dressing that includes lemon juice to cut through the fattiness of the mayonnaise and to add the zing of summer.

  • Whole Egg Mayonnaise
  • Lemon Juice
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

A crisp, crunchy, refreshing salad with tangy summer flavours. A delicious accompaniment to any pork dish.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • ¼ Red Cabbage
  • ¼ White Cabbage
  • 1 x Red Onion
  • 2 x Medium carrots peeled
  • Dressing
  • 3 table spoon favourite whole egg Mayonnaise
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 4 table spoons white vinegar
  • 1 table spoon olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

Salad Preparation

1. Slice cabbage finely with a knife or shred using a mandolin

2. Grate peeled carrots

3. Slice red onion into fine rings

4. Toss together in a deep salad bowl

Dressing

1. Combine all the dressing ingredients

2. Season to taste

3. Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss to coat evenly

Notes

This recipe should have a lovely tangy taste that explodes in the mouth. Add more lemon juice to cut through the mayonnaise.
