We love flash fried vegetables. The crunchier the better. This recipe includes a trio of vegetables that should be a staple in any vegetable basket. The nutty, salty flavour of the the Tamari sauce adds all the seasoning necessary for a healthy vegetable dish that is readily pared with most dishes.

  • Broccolini
  • Green Beans
  • Carrots
  • Tamari Sauce – a Japanese form of soy sauce which is slightly less salty, and has a more umami (savoury) flavour

An easy to make vegetable dish using your vegetable basket staples. It requires no pre-cooking. Simply flash fry your vegetables in the Tamara sauce on a high heat for a few minutes to infuse the flavours of Tamari while keeping your veges crisp and fresh. The Tamari sauce adds a wonderful savoury flavour. No fats or oils are used in this dish, so it's ultra healthy for you.

Ingredients

  • 3 carrots
  • 1-2 Bunches of Broccolini
  • 500g Green Beans
  • 1 birds eye red chilli (more if you like the heat)
  • 50ml Tamari Sauce

Instructions

Vegetable Preparation

Peel and julienne the carrots

Cut the Broccolini into bite size pieces including the stalks

Top an tail the bins and slice each bean in half diagonally

Chop Red chillis finely

Cooking Instructions

Add all the vegetables, including the chilli to a large flat based pan

Pour over the Tamari Sauce

Stir as the heat permeates

Remove from heat, when all vegetables are heated through
